Alternate Costumes
To get alternate costumes, beat the game in Mosou Mode. All of the characters from the side you chose will have available alternate gear. Change costumes by pressing L2 or R2 after higlighting a character.
Hint - Earn Beast Harness
Beat the fastest time in Speed Demon Challenge to earn this item that shows the last animal you rode on the mini-map.
Hint - Earn Bodyguard Restore Item
Complete the Iron Man Challenge with a score over 351. This challenge comprises of the Speed Demon, Balancing Act, and Combo Mania mini-challenges.
Hint - Earn Fifth Weapons
Koei jacks up the difficulty and awards players who play on Very Hard difficulty with the opportunity to earn fifth weapons.
Hint - Earn Magic Drum
Play Nanman as Zhang Jiao on Very Hard. Wait for Zhuge Liang's ambush party to appear, then defeat Zhuge Liang. The drum item will appear close to the southern most bridg, on top of a small hillock.
Hint - Earn Master's Cloak
Beat the top score on the Balancing Act challenge.
Hint - Earn Musou Armour
When you see a purple question mark icon in the corner of the battle screen, perform 120,000 "Perfect" combos or gather 1,000,000 combo points. The Musou Armour is like the Golden Harness from the first DW3, but is used while dismounted.
Hint - Earn Seal Of Darkness
On Guan Du, play against Cao Cao and kill all the officers in the castle. To be thorough, be sure to kill the officers who are not the leaders of their own little army (since some officers are subordinate to other officers, they don't show up on the strategic map). Do not trigger the event where your player taunts Cao Cao in the castle.
You must kill all officers who start out inside the castle to earn this item!
After a set time pass, the item appears to the north, next to where Cao Cao can be found in one small area.
Hint - Earn Seven Stars Sword
The "Chi Xing" Sword is unlocked if 1000 combo points are earned in the Combo Mania Challenge.
Hint - Single Player Double Musou
To do the double Musou attack in single player, your Musou bar must be flashing green while you are close to your bodyguard(s).
Hint: Find the Fire Arrows
To find these arrows, play the battle of Chi Bi (Cao Cao's forces). You have to kill Zhou as fast as you can, at the outset of battle. When you do, the Fire Arrows will appear north of his starting position, where you can acquire them.
Load Screen Wind
You can control the intensity of the wind on the load screen. Press CIRCLE to make the wind pick up, and X to make it die down.
Unlock Musou Mode (All Characters)
To allow every character to play through Musou mode, load data from your Dynasty Warriors 3 game.
